A Wild Goose Chase

Moving to north-east Scotland, Jim and his lurcher, Tarn, a 3/4 wirehaired pointer, 1/4 greyhound embark on a quest for the grey Geese.

During late September/early October thousands of geese migrate from Iceland to the north-east of Scotland. From then many Wildfowlers will make the journey north to pit their wits against the grey Geese - Pinkfoot and Greylag are the quarry of these hardy sportsmen.

Join Jim and his lurcher, Tarn, as they flight early morning geese as they fly out to feed. Tarn, not the dog you would expect to see on the foreshore, retrieves her geese with style and Jim armed with a video camera and gun, catches the excitement and atmosphere of several morning flights.
